FDA recommends food label changes

The FDA has recommended that food makers create easier to understand labels for their products. While it is mandated that a standard label must appear, there is not regulation over what is a “serving”.
Often times a product that is normally consumed in one serving (chips, soda) is listed as 2 servings. Therefore, nutritional values must be doubled.
The FDA is also urging all restaurants to list calories on their menus.
