Krispy Kreme to offer low-carb doughnut

Posted by Luis F. Escalante on March 12 in New Product

Krispy Kreme is the latest company to announce plans for a low-carb product. The company said it is creating a low-sugar doughnut.

Krispy Kreme hopes that the low-carb alternative will attract dieter and diabetics. Just one Krispy Kreme Hot Original Glazed doughnut has 200 calories, 12 grams of fat and 10 grams of sugar. It was unclear just how much fat and sugar would be in the new creation. The "healthy" doughnuts are due out before the end of the year.
