Posted by jonknee on March 17 in Low-carb Tips

Burpee announced record requests from home gardeners looking to plant low-carb veggies.

In response, Burpee has put together a list of vegetables high and low in carbohydrates for home gardeners who want to curb their carb intake this 2004 growing season.

Here's are a few items from the list for top low-carb veggies:

  • Lettuce (1cup/1gr)
  • Cucumber (1/2 cup/1g)
  • Radish (1 cup/4 g)
  • Mushrooms (1 cup/4g)
  • Leeks (1/2 cup/4g)

You can view the complete list (for both high and low) here.
