The Washington Post has published a thorough article on how low-carb diets are affecting traditional weight-loss programs such as Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig and Slim-Fast. For example, sales of Slim-Fast’s traditional meal-replacement shakes and powders slipped 27 percent last year. Jenny Craig sales have been flat or declining for much of the past five years.
