Trademark list reveals ‘carb’ is buzzword of 2003

According to a roundup of last year’s trademark filings from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as compiled by intellectual property attorney Glenn Gundersen, everyone wants a piece of the low-carb pie. Here is a sampling:

* Low carb lifestyle
* Carb conscious
* Carb helper
* Carb partners
* Carbuddies
* Carb support
* Carb kickers
* Carb crusher
* Carb breaker

There are a lot more, which just goes to show how hot low-carb diets became in 2003.
