Low-carb diets boost egg sales

The egg industry is doing better than ever thanks to the large number of low-carb dieters. At the same time, the diets have put the nation’s potato farmers — as well as orange growers, bakers and pasta makers — on the defensive.

“We’re all for it — most definitely,” said egg farmer Paul Bahan. “Business for egg ranchers is very, very good.”
