Low-Carb diet can improve lipid profiles

A new study performed out of Duke University Medical Center and published in the latest issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine, researchers found that a low-carbohydrate diet can improve lipid profiles in the body. Subjects that had controlled carb diets had less fat that subjects on a controlled fat diet. Moreover, the level of LDL cholesterol (the bad one) was lower in subjects with a low-carb diet.
