Beer, beef profit from low-carb

Brewing giant SAB Miller and the U.S. beef industry both credit low-carb dieting for a sharp turnaround in their fortunes. SABMiller said excellent sales of its low-carb Miller Lite beer had helped lift annual profits by nearly 50 percent. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association said the diets had contributed to a 10 percent rise in beef sales this year.
