Pepsi, Coke race to market with mid-carb sodas

Posted by Luis F. Escalante on May 24 in New Product

Following the news that Coke C2 will be available starting early next month, Pepsi said today that it will launch Pepsi Edge, its own mid-carb soda, in June. Like Coke C2, Pepsi Edge has half the sugar, carbs and calories of regular Pepsi cola. It will be sold in 20-ounce bottles and six packs of 12-ounce cans during the initial roll-out in the U.S. Later in the summer, the drink will also be available in two-liter bottles and 12-packs of cans.
