What About Hemp-Based Low-Carb Products?

There’s a company called Nutiva which has manufactured and distributed health products made from the hemp plant in the U.S. since 1999. Yes, the same hemp plant that marijuana is made from, but Nutiva says their products are not harmful for consumption and are actually chock full of good amounts of protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids.

bq. For people who are livin’ la vida low-carb, you will be pleased to hear that Nutiva hemp protein powder contains ZERO grams of net carbs and can be used to make your favorite protein smoothies. Unlike soy-based protein powder, hemp protein powder can be eaten raw to preserve its nutritional content and eliminating the risk of consuming hexane, a harmful greenhouse gas byproduct in most soy protein production which is also used in gasoline production.

Read the rest of my review of this rather unique company and their hemp protein powder, hempseed oil, and delicious cococut oil. You might be surprised just how healthy these products really are!
