Gary Taubes: ‘Finishing Up The Manuscript’ Of ‘Big Fat Lie’ Book

In July 2002, a man by the name of Gary Taubes dropped the proverbial A-bomb right in the center of the debate over diet, health and nutrition when he wrote his very well-researched yet controversial op-ed piece for the New York Times entitled “What If It’s All Been A Big Fat Lie?”

Since that time, Taubes was given a book deal to further expand his thoughts about how fat can be a healthy part of our eating lifestyle and that the dietary ideas promoted by the late Dr. Robert C. Atkins were exactly right.

The book was set to release in March 2006, but Taubes and his publisher didn’t want to rush this extraordinary opportunity to rock the boat once again with the truth.

bq. “The March 2006 publication date was never realistic,” Taubes wrote in an e-mail to me on Thursday. “At the moment I’m finishing up the manuscript, and my editors are still as excited as ever. Even the slightest mistake will be treated as proof that I don’t know what I’m talking about and so the entire book is misguided.”

Click here to find out when the book called “A Big Fat Lie? : What If Fat Doesn’t Make You Fat…” will be coming out and how to show your support for him when the anti-Atkins crowd start their moaning and groaning.
