Cardiologist Dr. Rob Thompson said the focus of too many popular diet plans these day, low-carb ones included, has been almost exclusively on the glycemic index to the extent that the glycemic load has been virtually ignored. That’s why he wrote the book “The Glycemic Load Diet.”
