I’m Having Vegan Soup For Supper

Why do these militant vegans get all uptight about people who support the low-carb lifestyle? We’ve made our nutritional choice and so have they, so what’s with all the personal attacks against low-carbers by vegans?
The latest example is from a woman named Beth Kujawski who has a blog called Finding My Voice.
In her blog, she responded to a book review I wrote back in February this year of the anti-Atkins diet, pro-vegan book entitled “Skinny Bitch” (this is the book where the authors called anyone who is on the Atkins/low-carb diet as a “moron”).
Rather than making any intelligent comments about why she SUPPORTS veganism, Kujawski instead made some rather ignorant statements about why the Atkins diet has allegedly fallen out of favor with people desiring weight loss.
bq. We’re not seeing Atkins-approved products sprout up in every section of the grocery store anymore. Gee. Why is that? Maybe it’s because people started to think that: 1) Eating nothing but protein is really frickin’ expensive, 2) Maybe it wasn’t the end-all, be-all path to wellness, and 3) They didn’t want to live in a world without a potato.
You know, I think these vegans would make a great ingredient in a low-carb soup for supper tonight!
