CBS Putting Katie Couric On The PhotoShop Diet

She doesn’t even start her career at CBS until Tuesday, but Katie Couric is already making headlines because of what a CBS News spokesman says was “an overzealous employee in its publicity department” who got PhotoShop-happy to help improve Couric’s physical appearance.

The picture on the left is the one CBS used to pre-promote Couric back in May this year when she was gleefully announced as the replacement for long-time, yet heavily embattled CBS news anchor Dan Rather.

However, the picture on the right is that same photo which appears in the September 2006 issue of the CBS publication called Watch! magazine with an obvious touch-up of the original photograph as well as Couric’s waistline.
