Who Wants To Buy Atkins Nutritionals?

Sources reveal that Atkins Nutritionals, Inc., the company that creates low-carb bars and shakes for people on the Atkins diet, is up for sale because of continuing financial difficulties following their bankruptcy last Fall.

It seems the company that has been manufacturing the Atkins shakes and bars has ceased new packaging production because they have not been paid by Atkins Nutritionals for past orders they have fulfilled. In other words, the stock of Atkins products you see on the shelf at your local store right now may be all that is left until payment is made or the company is sold.

If you already use these products, then it may not be a bad idea to stock up on what you will need for the rest of the year. However, it is important for me to note that you don’t necessarily NEED the Atkins products to do the Atkins diet.

bq. Low-carb living won’t be dead if something were to happen to the Atkins company. Low-carb has evolved well enough now that it is not dependent on any company to sustain its existence.
