Can Stress Make You Gain 10 Pounds In One Week?

You go on a low-carb diet plan and start losing weight very quickly. The success of your program has you thinking that nothing can keep you from hitting your weight loss goals and life is good.

But then it happens…LIFE!

You have an unexpected expense that wipes out your savings account, a family member becomes very ill on the brink of death, and that secure job you’ve been holding on to has suddenly been snatched away leaving you unemployed and without a paycheck–ALL IN THE SAME WEEK!

AAAAAAAACK! Does this qualify as a stressful situation? Well, as the person who has gone through the above scenario I described, I think it does. :)

What does this have to do with low-carb and weight loss? Well, it turns out that stress may have played a role in my 10 1/2-pound weight GAIN this past week. You heard me right! I GAINED over ten pounds in just one week with the only change in my life being my circumstances.
