Low-Carb Success Well Received By SC TOPS Group

The York, SC chapter of TOPS welcomed me with open arms

Anytime I am asked to share about my 180-pound weight loss success story with a group of people who desperately need to light a spark in their efforts to shed the pounds and get healthy, it’s such an invigorating experience for me personally and I always come back from those speaking opportunities a little more motivated and energized to continue on in my own journey to better health. It’s an incredible feeling to know something as simple as answering questions about how I lost weight could have such a lasting impact on the life of someone else. And that’s why I LOVE to do these events!

Here I am showing off my size 62-inch “fat boy” pants

After having an awesome time visiting one of the local Curves chapters in Liberty, South Carolina in October 2007, I was honored to be asked to tell my story to the non-profit Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) weight loss support group in York, South Carolina on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the YMCA there. Ironically, my mom was a member of a TOPS group when I was a kid, so it was kinda neat getting to go talk to a group about an hour from my home in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Click here to see more pictures from the event, read about how my talk was received by the TOPS members, and to find out how you can book me to speak to your group.
