Jody Smith shares about her traumatic experience with chronic fatigue

There is a very serious condition that a whole lot of people walking around right now have with some rather mysterious symptoms like vibrating, swirling numbness in various parts of their body, disorientation, trouble comprehending a simple conversation, forgetfulness, and a sudden feeling of exhaustion. And after going to see doctor after doctor with tests galore, they tell you nothing’s wrong with you. But you know better and can’t understand what is going on. It’s possible you have something known as chronic fatigue syndrome like today’s podcast interview guest. Listen to her story to be encouraged about what YOU can do about this debilitating condition.

In Episode 310 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we hear from an amazing Canadian woman named Jody Smith who shares with the whole world about how low-carb eating radically improved her struggle with chronic fatigue syndrome at her Ncubator web site. Jody was living a normal life raising kids and going about her life until all of a sudden she was overcome with those symptoms I described above over a six-week period. Then she’d be all better for a while before getting hit again for another stretch…and another…and another…until one day it just continued on indefinitely. Listen in to hear her compelling story about why she now can’t eat wheat, rice, bread, pasta, potatoes or corn because they will make her deathly ill and why she gladly forgoes these foods in favor of steaks, full-fat cream, and butter.

In today’s interview, you’ll hear Jody talk about what chronic fatigue sydrome (CFS) is like living with, what her many doctors thought it was, why numbers are difficult for people with CFS, how she ate when she first started having the symptoms, the impact Gary Taubes’ column on high-fat, low-carb diets in 2002 had on her, the quick improvements she saw in her symptoms within 48 hours of going on low-carb, her epiphany about the connection between hypoglycemia and CFS, what it’s like to eat a gluten-free, low-carb diet, the specific foods she does eat everyday, why she ate three pounds of red meat a day when she first started on Atkins, how her health and weight improved so dramatically after beginning a carbohydrate-restricted diet, the brain impact of eating low-carb, how a naturopathic physician has helped her improve even more in 2009, her passion for writing, the stunning improvements that have happened as a result of taking supplements like omega-3 fish oil and vitamin D and SO MUCH MORE!

If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may be suffering from CFS, then click here to let Jody Smith encourage you with her story of triumph.
