Greenville, SC ‘Euphoria’: The Premier Food, Wine & Music Festival Of The Southeast

This past weekend, my wife Christine and I had the distinct privilege and unique opportunity to travel down I-85 just a few miles to neighboring Greenville, South Carolina to attend a very prestigious food, wine and music event that happens every year around the third weekend of September called Euphoria. It began in 2006 as a dream of platinum-selling singer/songwriter Edwin McCain and local restaurateur Carl Sobocinski from Table 301 Group to bring more attention to Greenville, South Carolina area by inviting some of the top chefs, wine makers, and local musicians to gather together annually for a weekend featuring exclusive tasting events, cooking demonstrations and wine seminars, as well as multi-course dinners and live musical performances. Euphoria features domestic and international wines, celebrity chefs, master sommeliers, and national recording artists with the proceeds from the event going to fund Local Boys Do Good, the 501 (c)(3) created to benefit local non-profit organizations. Five years later, that lofty dream for an event like this has now become a reality in a BIG way and what a time it was at the 2010 Euphoria.
