Get A FREE Autographed Copy Of ‘Stubborn Fat Fix’ When You Purchase Popular Low-Carb Supplements

Hot new low-carb book is FREE when you purchase these NOW vitamins

Our friends at CarbSmart.com have put together a pretty nice deal involving an outstanding new low-carb book and some staple dietary supplements for people who are livin’ la vida low-carb. You’ll recall I interviewed a low-carb physician based in New York City last year named Dr. Keith Berkowitz a couple of times and he talked about writing a book about what he has learned in his practice treating patients with obesity, diabetes, and other health conditions. Well, that book is out now and it’s called The Stubborn Fat Fix: Eat Right To Lose Weight And Cure Metabolic Burnout Without Hunger Or Exercise (read my review by clicking here). Co-written by Dr. Berkowitz’ wife Valerie, a registered dietitian who greatly appreciates the value of low-carbohydrate nutrition, she will be appearing on my podcast show on May 7, 2009 to discuss the contents of this recently-released book.

So, here’s the Stubborn Fat Fix deal from CarbSmart:

When you purchase a 60 capsule bottle of L-Carnitine 500mg, 100 tablet GTF Chromium 200mcg Yeast Free, and a 100 softgels Omega-3 all by Now Foods, then you will receive an autographed copy by Dr. Keith Berkowitz and Valerie Berkowitz of their brand new book The Stubborn Fat Fix absolutely FREE, a $24.95 value! They have been long-time friends of CarbSmart and wanted to be a part of this special deal for those customers who enjoy taking these specific supplements as part of their low-carb lifestyle. Adequate vitamin intake along with your delicious and healthy low-carb diet is vitally important to your health which is why they enthusiastically recommend the three that are included in this promotion.

Let’s take a closer look at the benefits provided by each of the featured supplements:

L-Carnitine

This non-essential amino acid helps provide optimal health by allowing fatty acids to be transported into the mitochondrial membrane for cellular energy production. You can find this in lots of animal foods, including red meat, but adding it to your supplementation is highly recommended for boosting your blood levels of this amino acid. The NOW version of L-Carnitine uses a tartrate form so that the impact is at its maximum potential and you reap the most benefits from taking it.

GTF Chromium

Jackie Eberstein was the first person to tell me about the importance of taking chromium, which works at the cellular level to facilitate the action of insulin and control it for blood sugar stability. The GTF in the NOW brand stands for “glucose tolerance factor.” This special formulation also include niacin amino acid chelate as well.

Omega-3

You already know the importance of taking omega-3–this essential fatty acid cannot be made by the body and most Americans take in an inordinate amount of omega-6 fats instead amounting to a disproportionate ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids of about 20-1. Adding omega-3 primarily from fish sources will lower that ratio significantly towards the 4-1 or better considered ideal for optimal health.

Take advantage of The Stubborn Fat Fix bundle today. If you already take these supplements as part of your healthy low-carb lifestyle, then this is an excellent way to get your hands on an autographed copy of one of the hottest new low-carb books of 2009 for FREE! And even if you don’t take L-Carnitine, chromium, or omega-3s yet, there’s no better time than the present to see how they can positively impact your health in the months and years to come. Give ‘em a try and enjoy a complimentary copy of the Berkowitz’ amazing new low-carb book.

Why Do They Always Discontinue the Products I Like?

Low-carb retail store owner Michael Kirtley, from Low-Carb Central in Hales Corner, Wisconsin (Milwaukee area), says he gets a lot of questions from his customers about why popular and favorite low-carb products get discontinued.

Based on his own experience there are MANY reasons why this happens, but he reminds people that there have been people on the low-carb lifestyle long before the business end of low-carb came into existence.

bq. How many of these low-carb convenience foods were there when Dr. Atkins or the Eades started their research and wrote their books about low-carb living? None. Not a single one. Their plans were based on whole foods you could, and can still get, at the meat counter, dairy aisle and vegetable section of any grocery store.

Distinguishing Between Low-Carb The Lifestyle and Low-Carb The Business

Are you tired of hearing all the media accounts that low-carb is dead and that it failed to help people find a permanent way to lose weight and keep it off forever? Yeah, so am I!

After losing over 180 pounds thanks to the low-carb lifestyle, it frustrates me to no end to have to still read news stories like this one continuing to mischaracterize and distort what low-carb living is all about.

The evidence that these media types generally point to is the fact that so many of the low-carb stores that popped up a couple of years ago have either shut down their doors or gone bankrupt. But is that the fault of the low-carb lifestyle?

bq. The success of the low-carb diet is NOT dependent or tied in any way to the businesses that sell low-carb products. I remember being interviewed on my local talk radio station right after Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection in August 2005. Everyone wanted to know what I was going to do now that Atkins is going bankrupt. My response was that I was gonna keep on livin’ la vida low-carb and keep my weight under control like I always had because the business of low-carb has absolutely NOTHING in the world to do with being on the low-carb nutritional approach.
